Making a better search engine

About six months ago I published a post where I compared search capabilities of most popular Maven search engines. (my creation) was clear winner, mostly because I spent incredibly long time fine-tuning the search. (most used Maven search engine) was second and the rest (,, and failed completely.

Nowadays when I want to search for some Java library, I use (obviously) :-) But sometimes I also visit other search engines and few days ago I noticed that search capabilities got much better (on par with Btw: other search engines didn't improve at all.

I'm not paranoid, but maybe, just maybe somebody from got wind of my blog post or website and fine-tuned their search algorithm. Anyway, I'm glad they fixed it. It annoyed me for several years and was one of the reasons that made me create
